Xbox 360 version of Fallout 3 pirated

Three weeks before it's release, a highly anticipated game is pirated and readily available over the internet for those who know where to look. Ironically it's the console version that's fallen victim to file-sharing sites. The Xbox 360 version of Bethesda Softworks' Fallout 3 has already been leaked and appearing for illegal download on torrent sites, despite the fact it doesn't officially get released until 28 October.
These sites indicate that the game has already been downloaded by thousands of people. However users on one pirating site claim that the file is not a retail copy of the game, rather a copy of a review version of Fallout 3.
File-sharers also state that playing pirated games on an Xbox 360 requires a modified console and a capable DVD burner.
Video game piracy on the PC has been debated a great deal in recent months, but it is virtually unheard of for a console version being pirated before a PC version hits the internet. Grand Theft Auto IV suffered a similar fate a week or so before release, but still went on to sell millions of copies.
Bethesda, whom are aware of the situation, has so far declined to comment on the matter.
